Plumas Lake Oktoberfest: Fun, Community, and Youth Sports

10/2/2025

Mark your calendars for October 4, 2025! The Plumas Lake Oktoberfest Family Festival at Eufy Wood Park is the largest Oktoberfest celebration in the Yuba/Sutter area, bringing together families for an unforgettable day of German traditions, local entertainment, and community spirit. Best of all, admission is completely free!

This year's festival features live music from Inverness 95, bringing the best of 90's and 2000's alternative and grunge music to life. Attendees can enjoy a beer and wine garden while sampling delicious offerings from various food trucks including Doña Paty's authentic Mexican food, BigFoot Boba and Munchies, Gameday Grill's classic American fare, Hefty Gyros' Greek specialties, and Ryder's Chicken and Biscuits. Activities and vendors will be onsite offering products and services throughout the day.

But this beloved event is more than just great food and entertainment—it's making a real difference in the lives of young athletes. The festival directly benefits the HEGEMONY Sports NFL Flag Football program, which provides young athletes the opportunity to learn valuable life skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a fun and safe environment.

What makes HEGEMONY Sports stand out is their commitment to accessibility. The organization keeps registration costs at least 50% lower than any other organized sport in the area, ensuring every child in the community has the chance to participate regardless of their family's financial situation. The proceeds from Oktoberfest help fund scholarships that cover registration costs for families who need support.

NFL Flag Football offers children a fantastic introduction to football fundamentals without the risks associated with tackle football. Kids develop coordination, strategic thinking, and confidence while forming lasting friendships with teammates.

By attending the Plumas Lake Oktoberfest, community members aren't just enjoying a festive day out—they're investing in local youth sports and helping build a stronger, more inclusive community. It's proof that great things happen when neighbors come together to support the next generation.
